Upload an MP4 or MOV recording, or import a supported public media link. Wordtake extracts speech and creates a timestamped transcript you can edit in the workspace. Check names, numbers and important quotations against your recording before sharing the result.
Use this workflow for recorded lessons, interviews, podcasts and webinars. Private or login-required platform links cannot be imported; upload a recording you have permission to process instead.

Download TXT for reading and notes, SRT for caption workflows, or VTT for web video. SRT and VTT retain cue timing; review the exported captions in your destination player, especially after editing or cutting the video.
A readable transcript and a summary serve different purposes. Keep the reviewed transcript as your source when preparing quotations, notes or captions.
What does video transcription cost?
An account is required to process and save a recording. Verified new accounts receive 50 credits valid for 30 days. Transcription with AI review uses 2 credits per started minute; optional translation and AI outputs have separate charges shown in the workspace.
Uploaded source media is removed within six hours after a transcript is saved. Generated exports expire after seven days, so download the files you need to keep.
