Upload a recording in Wordtake

Upload the recording after your meeting

Save a recording you are authorized to use from Zoom, then upload its MP4 video or supported audio file. For cloud recordings, download the media with the permissions provided by its owner first.

Wordtake transcribes the saved file. It does not join Zoom calls, connect to your Zoom account, record meetings or provide live transcription. A private recording share link is not a supported public media import.

Review decisions against the recording

Use timestamps to locate important passages. Check names, action items, deadlines and numbers before using them in meeting notes. Overlapping speech, quiet microphones and connection dropouts can affect the draft.

Do not assume speaker identities are correct or automatically available. Add the context needed by the recipient, and keep a summary separate from the transcript so a proposed decision does not become a confirmed one.

Export meeting text and captions

Download a reviewed TXT reading copy, SRT subtitles or VTT web captions. Preview captions against the same recording; timestamps will need another review if you cut or rearrange the video.

An account and credits are required. Transcription with AI review uses 2 credits per started minute. Source recordings are removed within six hours after the transcript is saved; generated exports expire after seven days.
